  • I've only been a member for a year, but I love these people. I started coming here to sing in a choir, but soon discovered that these were the people that would make it more enjoyable to live in this community. They don't all believe the same things, but they do believe in being honest and fair. They believe in our democracy. They believe that everyone should be treated fairly and there are no second class citizens. They believe in helping others. "Hey" I told myself. "That's what I believe!" We have a lot of fun and some killer potlucks, and I have made friends that will last a lifetime. Please consider visiting us. You will be welcome.

  • I have attended the UU Fellowship of Stanislaus County for 15 years and have found it to be a spiritual home for me and my family. The people at this church are committed to making it a welcoming congregation and to working on each of our own paths to spirituality. Family friendly, we are looking forward to building a new religious education building this Summer, 2010.

  • This UU fellowship may be just the place for you. We are building a diverse community of people who share principles, not dogma. We live our principles by working in the community and in our fellowhsip community. I have been a member for 8 years and raised my children in a place that teaches and practices acceptance of multiple perspectives - our Universalism heritage. My spiritual path has been enlightened by being in fellowship with people who have diverse spiritual beliefs and faiths. Come try us!

  • Never hear of Unitarian Universalism? I too had never heard of such a group, but had passed the little country church out on Kiernan Avenue and was curious about it and what it was all about. I was being pretty overwhelmed by the negativity in the news and politics and wanted to find a place where people could be loving and at peace. The members of the UU have now become a part of my life. They believe that the worth and dignity of every person is important. They are leaders for justice and equality for all people and are willing to take the time and effort to make it happen for those that need help. They respect the earth and every living thing on the earth which we are a part of. I guess I should say we have these beliefs...I joined the UU Fellowship within six months of attending the first service. It's a hidden treasure awaiting for you if you think these are you values and beliefs.

  • We have been in Modesto for three years, and immediately felt welcome and at home. The UUFSC has an excellent nursery and children's religious education program, and a children's choir, so our two young children are always involved.

Everyone is accepted for who they are, and encouraged to follow their own path. The members of UUFSC don't just tolerate other's beliefs, but respect them and accept them as equal to their own.
